Tell us a little about Elheet Consulting.
At Elheet Consulting we provide A-Z business solutions for your accounting and tax needs. From Business formation to State and Federal Compliance, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Sales Tax, Consulting/ Tax Advisory, and State/Federal Tax Returns. We also provide these services to nonprofit organizations.
What led you to start Elheet Consulting?
During Highschool, when everyone asks what are you going to be when you grow up, I kept asking myself, what do I like, and what am I good at? I was always a math wizard, and couldn’t stop myself from learning about different businesses, the entrepreneur startup, the successes, and failures. I found an internship at a CPA Firm during the summer going into my senior year. I haven’t looked back. Now 12 years later, I have a business helping business owners save money, structure the companies properly, and empower the entrepreneurial spirit.
What sets your business apart from your competitors?
Putting my clients first, always. I too am a business owner, so I put myself in the shoes of my clients and understand what is needed and what is important. I also enjoy educating my clients. We do not just take the work and get it done, but we help clients understand what we are doing, why we are doing, and it helps them to understand their business better.
What is something you wish you’d known when you were just starting your business?
That you cannot do it all! Don’t over promise and underperform. Find a great team, take care of them, and they will take care of you.
How do you navigate your work-life balance?
Schedule is everything. I stay organized with planning and preparation. I have a beautiful wife and 4-month-old daughter who I love to spend time with, so they make it easy to balance.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Empowering my clients by saving them money utilizing customized tax strategies to their benefit based on their business and personal life goals.
How has being a part of the City Central community affected you and your business?
It has given me a business community that I hadn’t been around since my first startup where I would go to weekly meetups. Meeting and connecting with other businesses have been great in building and growing my network!
Are there any improvements we could make to help you or your business?
A way for people to announce they need specific services.
If you had a friend in town, and you could take them to one of your favorite restaurants or spots in your community, where would you take them?
Urban Crust in downtown Plano!
