Today we have the pleasure of highlighting the team from One You Love Home Care, Richardson, operating out of CityCentral East Plano. Join us as we learn more about their in-home care services, what makes the work so rewarding, and what inspired their expansion into East Plano. 

What led you to starting One You Love Homecare, Richardson?

We bought into this franchise as we see the need in today’s society where everyone works and cannot always be there for their loved ones to provide quality care. We not only serve our Senior community but also anyone over the age of 18 who needs assistance with daily or nightly tasks, perhaps after having surgery when they need extra help or maybe they just need extra help anytime.

What sets your business apart from your competitors?

We go above and beyond in performing extensive interviewing and back ground checks, more than required by the state, to source the very best in care givers. For the seniors, we also provide iPads with specific cognitive programs and weekly reports to the loved ones in charge of their special person’s well being to help monitor their cognitive skills.

What is something you wish you’d known when first starting your business?

I wish I had known the startup would be as complex as it turned out to be pretty intensive in the State requirements to open, but even if we had known, we would have still opened as we believe in our service offering.

How to do you navigate your work-life balance?

We encourage our staff to take needed time off and really be off, no checking emails, no calls etc… 

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of the job is when the client loves their care giver and their quality of life improves by feeling so cared for and loved.

How has being a part of the CityCentral community affected you and your business?

 It’s been great to work with Kendra and Catherine. They are so helpful and kind. We also love all the perks!

If you had a friend visiting from out of town, where would you take them?

When we have guests visiting we always take them to Pizzeria Testa in Frisco. They import all of their ingredients directly from Italy!
