Our communities would not be as successful without our incredible members! Meet Brody Brown, a Tax Examiner for CertSimple who works at our CityCentral Addison location. Read on to find out about Brody's dream profession as a an author, as well as where you can pre-order his most recent children's book, "A Monster's Renting my Closet!"

What was your first job?

I worked as a childcare worker at Watermark Community church.

What do you do now?

I am a Tax Examiner for CertSimple.

What’s your dream job?

At the moment, I want to be an author, video creator, and video game designer.

Coffee or tea?

I like both, but if I had to choose one, it would have to be coffee.

What book or movie have you recently read/seen and why would you recommend it?

I’ve recently finished re-reading John Steinbeck’s   Of Mice and Men. It is a beautiful story of dreams and brotherhood coming to a tragic end. The prose is also written intentionally like a stage director describing set designs and directions for a play, making for unique and well-done imagery.

What fictional place would you like to visit?

It would cool to attend one of Jay Gatsby’s parties in   The Great Gatsby.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?

It’s a cliché, but it would have to be “Work smarter, not harder.”

How has CityCentral benefitted you?

It’s provided me for a comfortable place to work, with a kind staff, and good coffee.

If you had a friend in town, where would you take them to eat?

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream shop. It’s the best ice-cream I’ve had.
