Today we have the pleasure of talking with Felicia Jeffries, a shareholder of Moore Financial Services. Moore Financial Services is a business consulting firm that offices out of CityCentral Fort Worth, and offers top-rated business growth and financial development solutions. Join us as we learn more about how the business came to be and what makes the work so rewarding!

Tell us a little about Moore Financial Services

Moore Financial Services is a consulting firm. We specialize in business formation, business growth, business credit building, and preparing businesses to obtain government and corporate contracts, grants, and loans.

What lead you to starting Moore Financial Services?

I was a paralegal at a business and bankruptcy law firm. We had one particular client who suffered extensive business and personal financial loss and had to file for bankruptcy. The circumstances surrounding her case were unique. Due to the devastation she suffered financially, I was compelled to start a credit repair firm. The credit repair firm to help bankrupt individuals get their financial lives back on track. So I took some courses, and became certified in credit repair and started Moore Financial Services. However, more business clients came to the company wanting to repair their personal credit for business use, and a few years after starting the credit repair company, through continuing education, I had learned about business credit. With the demand, we pivoted to offer what I initially mentioned.

What sets your business apart from your competitors?

Our competitors tend to focus on one off services or they offer other services but without the complete package that is needed to have a credible business. For example, they may offer business formation, business plans, and registered agent services, but the other services either are outsources or non-existent. With us, we provide a customized plan for each business’ needs. We put together a package and provide the client with a complete and comprehensive plan to build a solid and credible business.

What is something you wish you’d known when you were just starting your business?

I wish I would have known how to recognize clients who are not the best fit for our business so as to not do business with them. Now we have a system in place to determine our ideal client.

How to do you navigate your work-life balance?

At first I didn’t navigate it well. I wanted to soak in as much as possible in the law-firm setting and run my business. I got burned out. I became a full-time entrepreneur, and I dedicate times for meditating about Yahuah God, who I try my best to put first. I make time for my family each week, and I prioritize rest. I also make time for my hobbies. I like to paint; I’ve started sewing, and I just take one day at a time.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The rewarding part of my job is seeing a client land their first seven figure contract after we’ve put in the work to prepare their business! I love seeing their smiles and hearing the excitement in their voices.

How has being a part of the CityCentral community affected you and your business?

We have a laid back place to call our office home. We have yet to see what opportunities arise from being here. I look forward to experiencing them.

If you had a friend in town, and you could take them to one of your favorite restaurants or spots in your community, where would you take them to?

I would take them to Eddie V’s. I always take my guests there, and it’s always a fun time! The people are kind; the staff is on point! The food is great, and the music is live!
