Tell us a little about Mosaic Financial and Tax Advisors?

Mosaic Financial is a wealth management firm offering our clients financial planning, investments, retirement planning and many other financial services.  Mosaic Tax Advisers was started in 2023 to help our clients with their various tax and accounting needs.

What led you to start Mosaic Financial and Tax Advisors?

I wanted to serve my clients in the best way possible, and working for a larger firm didn’t allow me the ability to fulfill my mission the way that I had envisioned.  I really wanted to bring our clients all the services that a much larger firm might offer, but with a personal and customized experience.

What sets your business apart from your competitors?

We offer a “family office"-like experience—one where the client can work with us and our team on almost all their financial needs.  Whether it is individual wealth management or business financial needs, we have the team in place to serve both.  For business owners, this team approach allows their advice to be delivered in a consistent and cost-effective manner.

What is something you wish you’d known when you were just starting your business?

Some of the networking groups that I’ve found and joined would have been nice to be a part of much sooner.

How do you navigate your work-life balance?

I make sure to block off time for family and friends; I don’t work on the weekends or check emails.  I also make sure that I don’t work past 4 or 5 p.m. during the week because we usually have family activities during the week.  Our clients understand how important this balance is for us.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I have the ability to set my own schedule and work with clients who are the best fit for our firm.  We are selective in who we serve because we want to make sure we are adding value and making an impact on our relationships.

How has being a part of the Plano community affected you and your business?

Plano has been a great community to be a part of, and it’s proximity to almost anywhere in the Metroplex is fantastic!

If you had a friend in town and you could take them to one of your favorite restaurants or spots in your community, where would you take them?

For a bite to eat and a glass of wine, I would recommend Sixty Vines in Plano!  If we wanted to spend time outdoors, I would take them to the Dallas Arboretum.
