What led you to start OrgWhisperers?
The creation of OrgWhisperers began through the lens of a child and a deep desire to see change in his world.
I grew up in a small suburb outside Kolkata, India. I remember the excitement my sister and I felt as we waited for our dad to get home from work each day so we could play with him. On most days, he came back home with joy and energy, ready to play with us. But I also remember vividly those painful days when he came back home completely beaten down and drained of all of his energy because something that happened at work crushed his soul.
Even though my dad was an incredibly smart, passionate, and hard-working man, the system at the auto manufacturing plant he worked for did not always understand how to use his potential. That left my dad feeling discouraged and unfulfilled, which spilled over into the quality of his home life. I didn’t realize this until much later, but as a child, I vowed that I would not let this happen to anyone else’s mom or dad when I grew up.
This purpose has influenced every decision of my professional life as my career in software engineering rapidly advanced into management, where I learned techniques to encourage, develop, and utilize the capabilities of my teams. I discovered that the challenges my dad faced in the automotive industry in India seemed to be present in large, multi-national I.T. firms.
Even firms like Siemens, Hewlett Packard, McAfee, Cisco, and Avaya seemed to struggle to harness the potential of their people, especially in the face of change, stress, and conflict. I noticed how organizations unintentionally stifled the creativity of their team members, shutting down unique perspectives and sucking the joy out of something that is inherently joyful—build great technology! I could not bear to see this anymore. This is why I gave up my job and founded Org Whisperers . The purpose of my life became to work with organizations on a deeper level to see the challenges that are causing pain in the hearts of their people and unleash their hidden potential.

What is something you wish you’d known when you were just starting your business?
- People don’t buy products. People buy your energy. So as an entrepreneur, my most precious resource is my energy.
- My highest priority should be the stewardship of my energy.
- The best way to nurture and boost my energy is to listen to the intuition that the universe has blessed me and every other human being with.
- The best way to listen to my intuition is to tune into my body. My body expresses wisdom that my brain is incapable of understanding.
- My body tells me very clearly what I should do next. If I follow that voice and let my light shine, the next steps will become visible.
-
If I build it, they will come
😊
How do you navigate your work-life balance?
- Non-negotiable start of no earlier than 8:30 AM US Central each day, after dropping kids to school and feeding my dog Scooby.
- Non-negotiable hard stop for work at 5:00 PM US Central time each day.
-
Listen to my body and take frequent breaks during the day especially when my body tells me that I am at risk of not honoring my life purpose or core values
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Seeing my clients overcome barriers and go home to their families with a smile on their face, a spring in their step, and joy in their hearts
How has being a part of the Plano community affected you and your business?
When I need to find peace and focus away from the clutter of my home office, I come to CityCentral Plano. It helps me stay focused and do my best work.
When I need to deliver a webinar for 700 attendees across the world or deliver a training to 25 people across the world, I come to CityCentral because I trust what Christy told me: even if there is a power outage, there will not be an outage to my webinar or training. The CC backup power system and backup internet service will kick in, and people who have rearranged their lives to learn from me will not be disappointed. I will be able to keep my promise to those who are counting on my word.
If you had a friend in town and you could take them to one of your favorite restaurants or spots in your community, where would you take them?
Pinkberry!
